During my tenure as an LEO/SRO in Arizona, it was common to see shoes tied together and thrown over powerlines, as a means to identifying which gang is selling narcotics and in which neighborhood.
Recently, I've noticed a couple pair of work boots tied together and thrown over powerlines in one of our neighborhoods.
My question is: What is the significance (if any) of boots tossed over power lines in rural Missouri?
My first thought was a beer party house for young adults/teens.
Your thoughts, opinions, guesses, funny remarks always accepted. 3 extra donuts, aka Official Police Food mailed via Pony Express for the correct answer. And yes, the proferred OPF will be day old ones at that, should they last that long...
Thanks,
- David
