As most of you know, Kevin Quinn is the former NASRO President, and is once again the Arizona School Resource Officer (ASROA) President. I have worked with Kevin for many years as an Arizona SRO Central Regional Representative, during my 13 years as an SRO. Kevin recently shared with me he has aligned himself with a couple of SWAT members from California, who have come up with an amazing new tool which will truly secure any door. And it can be used in so many different venues, not just schools. They initially came up with the idea while performing a threat assessment at a Dallas, TX school site. It is simply called The ACT Device, which is an acronym for Active Crisis Tool. If you are preparing, or are in need of upgrading security devices at your school site, take a look at the following link for more information. Watch the attached video, look at the ACT device itself, read the information provided, and then tell either your School Superintendent or Principal(s) the merits of this tool. anchormaninc.com/I know I'll be sharing this with our new Superintendent who will be taking over the Gallatin R-V School District (NW Missouri) next week. And no, I have no attachment to this product or company other than knowing Kevin for many years. Just thought many of you would like to see some new technology which is out there. - David

Any idea on how much it cost. The webpage didn't have it listed under the buy now option.

Just sharing where I'm at on the price structure, I e-mailed the company directly seeking details on Tuesday, still awaiting a reply.
I learned Kevin is now the Director of Marketing and the company should really take off. He told me each sale is based on your needs. I am also expecting a phone call from him fairly soon.
In the meantime, you can e-mail Kevin directly at anchorman.kevin@gmail.com, and he will respond to your inquiries.

Thanks Dave for the great intro. The retail price is $175 a piece, however large quantity pricing is available depending on numbers, full district deployment, etc. Please check out our Facebook page for some exciting endorsements from leaders in the school safety field. Feel free to contact me directly for any specific questions and pricing for your schools. Kevin Quinn Director of School Sales and Marketing anchorman.kevin@gmail.com 480-628-4860

Thanks, Kevin. Good, timely information I trust each of us will use.
Will you be posting up on all SRO boards across the country? Might be time consuming, but worth the effort in my opinion.

For those watching this thread, I would strongly urge you to call Kevin in getting even more information on this product.
We discussed a wide variety of uses for this tool, which makes it a likely candidate in Church day care, banks, courts, legal offices, industry so many possible applications.
Yes, there are those who will say "It is costly, how can we justify retrofitting our schools/districts?" My answer would be to ask the survivors and family members who lost loved ones to violence if the cost should have been a factor. But then again, I call it as I see it even when trying to remain somewhat neutral in decision making.
Lots of grant writers out there, put yours to work today!

David
Do you think your buddy would want to come as a vendor to our conference? Let me know if you have contact info. I'll try to see if the company wants to be a vendor at our conference.

Les, I'm pretty certain he'd be delighted in attending your Conference...depending on whether or not it conflicts with the Arizona SRO Conference. Perhaps one or both of the California SWAT guys could attend as well.
Kevin's contact information is already in this thread, just look for his comment above.
